Characterization of Groundwater Plumes

With experience on a wide variety of soil and groundwater remediation projects, Wilson Environmental understands that effective remediation is the result of careful planning, targeted site investigations and exacting remedial design. We weigh site conditions, regulatory requirements and your scheduling and budgetary concerns to select or design a proven, cost-effective environmental remediation strategy.

We have performed all stages of the environmental remediation process, from preparing Remedial Work Plans and Construction Plans to conducting ongoing post-closure monitoring. Wilson staff have a successful track record of negotiating alternative closure approaches that greatly reduce closure costs. For example, in industrial areas it is often possible to realize significant savings by developing and negotiating risk-based concentration levels as opposed to remediating a site to standard regulatory concentration limits.

Wilson Environmental staff have performed hundreds of "Phase II" soil and groundwater investigations, including studies of sites governed by CERCLA, RCRA and UST regulations. Wilson staff have provided:
  • Subsurface stratigraphic and hydrogeologic characterization using borings, piezometers, wells or other technologies.
  • Design and installation of groundwater monitoring well networks;
  • Groundwater sampling and analysis;
  • Groundwater modeling used in remedial design;
  • Contaminant plume modeling;
  • Conceptual and detailed design of soil and groundwater remediation systems; and
  • Construction and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation systems.
