Wastewater Evaporator Warranty Information

Wastewater analysis is required for all sales with a warranty.  Additional emissions testing is recommended in some cases and should be determined by the purchaser to meet local air regulations.   Wilson can help you understand your local air regulations and the need for this test. 

The basic analysis for warranty must include the following:  Ag (Silsver), As (Arsenic), Ba (Barium), Cd (Cadmium), Pb (Lead), Se (Selenium), Hg (Mercury), pH, TDS, TSS, Oils and Grese, Cl (Chloride), Fl (Flouride), Hardness, Ca (Calcium), Mg (Magnesium), flashpoint (EPA 1010).  These tests can be performed by most analytical labs.  The cost for analysis should be between $200 and $300 depending on the laboratory.

Emissions testing, if required, will include an analysis for volatile organic compounds (VOC's).   Other analysis may be required by your local regulations.  Based on the emissions data a Certified Emissions Estimate should be prepared by a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and certified with the engineers P.E. seal or stamp.  The cost varies depending on your location.  Expect to spend around $500 for the test and certification.   It is a good idea to have this test conducted and the records kept in your environmental files regardless of your air permit status.

Additional testing for evaporator sludge disposal may be required.  Check with Wilson or your local environmental enforcement agency to determine the requirements.

Cost per gallon for evaporation is based on a Cost of $5.00 per 1,000 cubic feet of natural gas with a thermal value of 1,070,000 BTUs per 1,000 cubic feet or $0.05 per gallon for fuel.  Plus an electrical cost of  $0.01 per gallon and $0.01 per gallon for an antifoaming agent (if required).   Approximate total cost  $0.07 per gallon.
