CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES AND TOOLS
Your One Stop Destination
The engineering group at Wilson Environmental possess a completely outfitted civil engineering department. We can produce, in house, all the drawings, documents, and supporting materials to complete a design, send it out for bids, and produce construction drawings for complete execution of the project. Some of our capabilities are highlighted below:
- Digital Terrain Modeling - Wilson Environmental uses the latest in digital terrain modeling applications to develop civil engineering designs. These mathematical models are used to design grades, perform cut and fill calculations, perform survey calculations, establish grade projections, model storm water runoff and generate material take-offs.
- Finite Element Models - Wilson Environmental uses the latest in finite element models for the analysis of structures and solid mechanics. We can make static and dynamic analyses of soils, structures, and interactions using industry-leading three-dimensional finite element programs.
- Finite Difference Programs - Wilson Environmental uses the latest in finite difference programs written to solve complex differential equations for the analysis of groundwater migration, large stain consolidation, slope stability, flood routing, etc.
- CPM Scheduling Software - Wilson Environmental uses industry-leading CPM scheduling and project management software.
- Software Library - Wilson Environmental maintains a library of utility programs to increase productivity. These programs include topics such as hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, water distribution, process design, geographical information systems, spreadsheets, word processors, etc.
Although Wilson Environmental has standardized specific software packages for internal usage, we maintain a library of software packages used by our clients so that we may better meet their needs.
Computer Aided Design and Drafting Tools
Wilson Environmental has complete capabilities for Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD). Our designers use the latest in process, piping and structural templates and add-ins to these programs in order to maximize productivity.
